AT & T pushed Yahoo mobile phone search covering 70 million users

September 9, AT & T Monday said it would add Yahoo search service to its customers mobile Internet menu. AT & T has 70 million users in the United States.

According to foreign media reports, AT & T plans through its mobile phone Internet portal, to provide users with Yahoo’s oneSearch mobile phone network services, including news, financial information, weather, Flickr photo albums and Web search and other links.

In fact Yahoo and AT & T two companies as early as January this year on the signing of an agreement, Yahoo will be under the agreement AT & T’s broadband users, network television and mobile phone users to provide search and advertising services. Yahoo’s service is provided by the above-mentioned agreement, as amended, after a part of. Under the new amended agreement, AT & T’s YellowPages.com site will provide users with local search information. The new agreement will replace the two sides in 2001 the broadband services agreement, according to the agreement at that time, when users log in AT & T’s broadband service areas of computer network service, Yahoo can be divided into the corresponding income.

Yahoo and Verizon also signed a similar agreement broadband network computer services for Verizon’s broadband network computer users and TV users with a range of network services, but the agreement does not include mobile phone services.

At the same time, Yahoo’s main rival Google is negotiating with Verizon, Verizon cell phone users trying to become the preferred Internet service provider. Verizon is currently the second-largest U.S. mobile phone operators, the second half of this year is expected to acquire wireless operators in remote areas of Alltel after regulatory approval, Verizon will be more than AT & T became the largest U.S. mobile phone operators.

Yahoo said the company has reached agreement with 60 operators worldwide to provides OneSearch network services for mobile phone network, the users that used the service has reached as much as 800 million people.
